TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final round of a Quran competition for female university students from Iran and Iraq will be held in the holy city of Mashhad.

It is slated for Sunday, July 17, on the eve of Eid al-Ghadir.

There are three categories, namely memorization of the entire Quran, recitation of Quran, and Tarteel recitation.

In each category, three contenders from Iran and three from Iraq will compete in the finals.

They are the ones who had the best performance in the preliminary round, which was held in both countries in June.

Roya Fazaeli, Fatemeh Nikouei, Zahra Abbasi, Ghazaleh Soheilizadeh, Masoumeh Albughubaysh, Seyedeh Masoumeh Hosseini Aqamaleki, Azra Sabourinejad, Elnaz Hemmati and Zahra Mahvashian will represent Iran in the final round.  

Iran’s Al-Zahra University has organized the Quranic event in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Women’s Quranic Activities affiliated to the Quran and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

All activities of the competition are implemented by women.
